Gary "Lake Wisdom" Nelson
Gary Nelson is an Indianapolois, Indiana native, and Co-founded Nova Star Dance Company in 2017 with wife Kay Nelson. Gary has been a dancer for over 19 years and was a performer since his youth, performing with Dynasty Dance Crew all over Indianapolis, and winning top state competitions such as I State 2009, IUPUI 2007-2009 and Star Quest and won a solo competition at I State in 2011.
He has performed on the Hypnotize Tour with T-Pain, Rick Ross and Bootsie and opened up for Lil Scrappy. Gary teaches waving, popping, locking, and animation. Additionally, he holds his Acrobatic Arts Certification.
Kay " Kayy Nova " Nelson

Kay Nelson has over 23 years of dance experience. She is from a small town called Hazlehurst, Georgia and is the Co-Owner & Co-founder of Nova Star Dance Company LLC. She moved to Indianapolis, In with her family as a child where she met husband Gary Nelson. Kay began her dance career as a paid Cheer Coach for the King's Elite Cheer Squad when she was 18 years old. She performed alongside the late composer Marvin Hamlisch at the 2005 Vocal Jazz Fest with her high school at Butler University. She also served as a Co-Drum Major and Dance Captain for Knights of Glory Drum Corps until she aged out in 2010. Kay's family re-located to Las Vegas where she earned her Arthur Murray Associate Bronze & DVIDA ballroom teaching certifications.
Kay has appeared in commercials for Drai's Night Club, the Las Vegas Convention Center, and appeared on the 376th issue of Porsche Christophorous Magazine in Germany. Other career accomplishments include TESOL ( Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certification, and Japanese 1 certification from St Petersburg State University Russia that she earned in May 2020.
Kay teaches House, Whacking, Combo Class, International and American style Ballroom, Dance Hall, Afro Beat and Stepping.

Markenley Georges is originally from Haiti and has traveled the world with his Dance Company Akya Dance based in Haiti, as well as Corjd Danne company Danne Rene Delsoin.
Monet is 21 years old and is a Las Vegas native. She began dancing at a young age and the majority of her dance training can be accredited to the West Las Vegas Arts Center. She competes with The Village, having multiple competitions under her belt. In addition to her 10 year dance career, she has been modeling on print and Las Vegas runways for 3 years.

Valeria Cruz-Colón began her training at Nevada School of Dance in Las Vegas before
attending the School of Ballet Arizona. Over the years, Cruz-Colón has attended various
summer intensive programs including Joffrey Ballet School Summer Intensive in Las Vegas,
School of Ballet Arizona, Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet in San Francisco, and American Ballet
Theater in New York. When she returned home from Arizona, Valeria trained at Jordance
Studios under the direction of Luz Morante while also building her skills as an instructor and
choreographer. Valeria was also an assistant choreographer for Jordance Studio’s Nutcracker
with a Latin Twist in 2018. This past year Valeria moved to Chicago Illinois to train at Hubbard
Street’s Professional Program and successfully graduated the program for the year ‘19-’20.
